Langtang area is toward the north of Kathmandu Valley. The scenery here is spectacular, and the trek more adventurous as the area is visited by fewer tourists. To the west of Langtang is Ganesh Himal with a range of 6000 to 7000 meters. The Gosainkund and Helambu region lies to its south; these can be combined with Lang tang to make treks from 7 days to 21 days. The area was designated Nepal's first Himalayan National Park in 1971; it is inhabited by Tamang and Sherpa people whose religious practices, language and dress are much more similar to those of Tibet than to the traditions of their cousins, in the middle hills.

 

Day to day outline itinerary

Day 01:Arrival in Kathmandu. Meet and Greet at airport and transfer to Hotel. Stay overnight in Hotel at Kathmandu.

Day 02:Drive Kathmandu [1320mtr / Syabrubesi (1450 m) Chartered jeep (Approx. 4-6 hours drive)/accommodation tea house lodge: Breakfast.

Day 03:Trek Syabrubeshi / Lama Hotel (2480 m.) approx. 6 to 7 hrs walk/accommodation tea house lodge

Day 04:Lama Hotel / Langtang village (3541 m.) approx. 5 to 6 hrs walk/accomodation tea house lodge

Day 05:Langtang / Kyanjing Gompa (3900 m.) approx. 3 hrs walk/accomodation tea house lodge/accommodation tea house lodge

Day 06:Kyanjing Gompa/ Rest day / Explore round ..May be Visit Cherko RI- back to Kyanjing]/ Tea house Lodge.

Day 07:Kyanjing gompa /Ghora Tabela (2950 m) approx. 4 to 5 hrs walk/accommodation tea house lodge

Day 08:Ghora Tabela / Bamboo (1980 m). approx. 3 to 4 hrs walk accommodation tea house lodge

Day 09:Bamboo / -Syabrubesi[1460mtr] approx. 3-4 hrs walk/accommodation tea house lodge

Day 10:Syabrubesi- Kathmandu 5-6 Hours By special Chartered Jeep. Stay overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 11:Kathmandu- departure [till departure free yourself]/ may be some, things to do... [Breakfast at Hotel]
